Yano, Worcap. Yonono Worcap?

Sana may Philippines sa World Cup (the link there lacks bias, you'll never get to feel the rush. hehe..) someday. I get addicted with it (far more than the UAAP basketball) even though I seldom watch it live (I mean the video). I always check the stats, read the game summary online, watch out for WC articles in Inquirer and all that. Geee. I became patriotic for nations I don't belong. Whatever. I'm going to post even though I know barely anyone who reads this could relate.

The Swiss lost to Ukraine!! Good for them. For kicking South Korea out so early. Those slit eyed people really cried after their team lost by a mere one point away from France (just check out the standings, I'm writing quite vaguely). I'm now hoping (or wishing) Ukraine will win the cup this time (as if naman noh. Ukraine only made it this far because of penalty shots and draws) and strip off Brazil its streak for making Ghana leave the tournament at the round of 16. Out na ang Australia, Spain at Mexico. Huhu. Di bale, Larios will beat Pacquiao! YEAH. I'm bad. But why care? I hate all the Pacquiao stuffs and sensationalizations (terrific word!) running all around. AHH. Basta!! Andami kong gustong sabihin na nawala na rin.

Alam niyo ba na natigil pansamantala ang civil war sa Ivory Coast because of World Cup? Astig noh. North Korea might have abandoned its nuclear wants if it just made it from the Asian eliminations. And stores and establishments around the world closes whenever their home country has a match. World Cup enforces a nationalistic feeling on each citizen and could bring a momentary unity among people. Like the UAAP feeling but much more intense. Also, there's no superpower in World Cup; most of the teams just debuted this year (Ukraine, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, etc.) and each just make huge surprises out of thin air (like Ghana's place at the round of 16). Wooo.

Why do Filipinos love basketball when the game hates them? I mean, they always tend to lose to taller foreigners. Filipinos has strong legs (anthropologically..) and wide fields to practice on. Football's maybe a mere kick and goal with minimum rules but I say that it excites me a whole lot more than basketball.

The picture (sabi kasi ni Clacla lagyan ko daw. Hihi.) there shows the South Korean crowd watching their team's match against Switzerland on a huge screen. After which they lost and cried and even threated the Swiss embassy. Looks like EDSA revolution-much bigger, isn't it?

Yeee.

(hahaha)

sa school ko may hockey saka soccer fever. may mga flags, jerseys, team shirts etc. nung laban nga ng Korea ung mga Koreans sa skul ko naka-red silang lahat. ei u know filipinos have the advantage because of their height. it's better if u're smaller coz then u'd be faster and more agile. kapag matangkad ka ma-a-outrun ka saka baka puro penalty abot.

Wow! Feel na feel niyo pala jan ang World Cup fever!! Inggit ako! Arrrgh. Iilan lang kami dito na adik dun. Sana talaga may soccer sa Philippines.

Anyway, NATALO UKRAINE!! EPAL KA AT ANG ITALY!! Well, I don't expect naman na mananalo sila with their records noh. Nakadalawang goals lang ata sila this year. They were so lucky to reach that far. Pero kahit na!! Haaay, I'm eyeing for France to beat Brazil. I want Brazil out. NOW. Hahahaha! Lagi nalang kasi sila eh!
