KISSS Me

Went to KISSS (forgot the meaning) - an annual seminar by UP CURSOR, free! It's a little sharing of the latest in technology. Last week was about CSS and Blender and I wasn't there. Forgot. Argh. Anyway, thanks to Aleth for the whereabouts.

Morning was for Macromedia Flash. Quite disappointed since she taught only basic stuffs in animation and only one trick was cool enough for me. I was expecting more in components and Actionscript since I'm bad at those (I realized I'm out of beginner stage already!). All in all, a good beginner course. Anyone can be easily astounded by Flash's complicated layout yet she delivered it smoothly.

Afternoon was Photoshop. The instructor was great. Taught a huge number of cool tricks. Bad thing was the tricks required innumerable number of steps and hard to follow and he never compensated for that. Some (who I bet are already familiar with the interface) managed to keep up. Some played Minesweeper. I learned few. Hehe. Photoshop is hard! But at least there's no on-the-spot drawing requirement in Photoshop of which I'm easily irritated when can't do. I hate drawing.

I wish Anali and Kimie were there! You would really appreciate the talk since you're already familiar with it. Sorry forgot to tell you! First the moocards, now KISSS. Next time! (Edi sana may kukulitin ako dun kung ano na yung ginawa nung teacher. Haha)

After the session, there was a mini raffle. At stakes were Adobe pens, cap, shirts, an optical mouse (limited edition by Adobe) and a USB something. I won a shirt. But I'm not happy. In fact quite I'm pissed off. I can't wear it! It's so oversized. Size XXXL in local stores! Isa siyang malaking kumot pag sinuot. Bwisit. Sayang.

I want a Blaze (bad name noh?). It's the new Flash after Adobe bought Macromedia. Now, Flash and Photoshop exchanges will be easier. And Photoshop is now called Adobe CS3. They say it's the epitome of cool. I don't know. Teach me! Whatever.
