I got a perfect 10 plate in ES 1! - no bonus, extra points, considerations or anything. Not even a background in drafting! I'm so high it's hard no to smile. Yeah, others do get a perfect 10. I'm just so proud since I frequently lose temper doing the plates (perfectionists' dilemma) and several ounces of blood are wasted just to exact that gadamn intersection.
Like any other ES, ES 1 is puzzling, tearjerker but, not like any other ES, big piece of hassle.

Puro mga lalaki ang profs sa Engg. Bakit kaya. Isa palang kilala kong babae. And they all have the same aura of "Wag nalang tayo magklase" tuwing magtuturo. Antatamad. And very very retrosexual (Flinstones aura men who don't know that facial wash for men do exist.

Long post all ranting nothing really interesting for you as much as possible don't read. For personal relief only.
Chem 153 is dreadful. The number doesn't necessarily mean difficulty but a 153 for chem matched it. It's even harder than any of my previous Calculus courses! And it's not Chem. Like everybody who took it said, "It's Math pretending to be Chem" or "It's Math held at IC." The Calculus is everywhere. First meeting: get the partial derivatives. (how to get partials again?)
I used to evaluate my answers in previous chemistries by experience in the laboratory, or my knowledge of the element's features (yuck noh? I'm so drowned with chem I can enumerate the elements' valence electrons, possible bonding positions, electric character, etc orally!) or other encountered laws. But in Physical Chemistry, you evaluate it with Math ONLY. Fine, "Calculus? Duh. Easy," but the equations are one blackboard long and from logarithmic to exponential to rational, integrate and differentiate, definite and partial? Aggghh.
Siguro dapat madali lang yun. It's just that kanina (ang konyo!), my prof got so happy doing math she forgot she still had students behind her.
Nakakalula!
"Ma'am dahan dahan sayang sa chalk."
"Ma'am hinga muna. [sabay pass out]"
Oh Physical Chemistry. Grabe. At wow, after several buckets of blood nakuha namin. Asteeg.

ES 11's still soft. Madali pa siya. Save the hardcore for last? Haha! Statistics: 1. More than 50% of the batch failed on this subject last sem; 2. An average of 20% on some exams; and 3. Barely more than 10 pass every exam. Ganun ka dreadful. Kailan kaya!

Well, ganun daw yung exams. Masanay na kami. WHAT. Nakatitig lang ako sa last homework. Naman!

Kung ikukumpara sa iba, ang ChE 32 is a joke. An ant mingling with elephants. And even the prof is a joke. At wala siyang calculator. Meron palang licensed engineer na walang calcu. Well, mabait naman. To compensate big. Kaya indispensable pa rin. Haha ansama ko.
